We have now decided that there will be 1 more kitty in our little family. The whole weekend, K and I have been looking up and visited shelters, researched, emailed breeders etc. We have decided that the new baby will be a Ragdoll and we will buy it from a registered breeder. We learned that there are some sketchy ones out there but today we got in contact with a small cattery located in the same area as us. She had a litter 2 weeks ago so there will be a little bit of wait as we won’t get our cat until June, but that’s ok. She’s been really nice sending us photos and answered all our questions patiently so we decided to go for it.
Here’s some pictures of the litter. Weeeeiiiiii, we’re so exited!! Don’t know how I’m going to be able to wait so long to cuddle with our little bear.
Lately I’ve been wondering if it’s better for Katniss to get a friend. She does have a separation anxiety and even though one of us goes down to the basement to do the laundry, she will start crying by the door. Both K and I work really long hours and I want to be able to give her the best. But is that wat we want and are we ready for it? I don’t know.
I started to get this thought after watching a TV show called cats 101 this past Saturday and only a few hours later we headed to the shelter. Not to get another cat but to start looking. So many sad eyes looking at us from those small, metal cages. I wish I could just bring all animals home with me and give them the same love as we are giving Katniss.
Maybe one day!
Does anybody else think it’s gross when an opened canned food turns dark brown and hard in the refrigerator? I’ve been wanting to buy a can cover for a while now and since petsmart had a coupon for 15% today, we decided to finally buy one. Of course we chose a set from the Martha Stewart collection. We just love it! It fits 3 different sizes which is good since Katniss is currently eating her kitten food (3 oz can). This means we don’t need to buy new ones once we switch to adult food (big cans).
It’s so nice to wake up to this little creature, all passed out next to me. She’s really becoming a big girl these days and I don’t only mean size-wise.
She has the cutest morning routine. First thing she wants to do is to cuddle. It usually starts with K (since he’s the one who gets up early). She will only cuddle with him and let me be if I’m still sleeping (good girl) but if I’m also awake, she will make sure that both of her parents gets an equal share of that love by walking back and forth between us. Then she always wants to follow K to the bathroom. What they do in there will remain private 😉 but sometimes I hear them talk to each other in there which always cracks me up. She will continue to keep K company until he goes to work. As soon as he leaves, she goes back to bed and stays there with me until I get up. The picture below is from this morning when she had fallen back to sleep next to me.
Today was just one of those days 😦
Mommy didn’t notice me checking out the inside of the refrigerator so she closed the door ON me! Then I fell down the toilet and got wet. Then I got squeezed AGAIN when Daddy tried to shut another door. To top that off, I failed to catch that mosquito I’ve been eyeing the whole evening.
I also think mommy got a little annoyed when I took over her homework assignment. I couldn’t help it, it just looked so much FUNNN!! I eventually ended up with a time-out so Mommy could finish her stuff
