Does anybody else think it’s gross when an opened canned food turns dark brown and hard in the¬†refrigerator? I’ve been wanting to buy a can cover for a while now and since petsmart had a coupon for 15% today, we decided to finally buy one. Of course we chose a set from the Martha Stewart collection. We just love it! It fits 3 different sizes which is good since Katniss is currently eating her kitten food (3 oz can). This means we don’t need to buy new ones once we switch to adult food (big cans).

It’s so nice to wake up to this little creature, all passed out next to me. She’s really becoming a big girl these days and I don’t only mean size-wise.

She has the cutest morning routine. First thing she wants to do is to cuddle. It usually starts with K (since he’s the one who gets up early). She will only cuddle with him and let me be if I’m still sleeping (good girl) but if I’m also awake, she will make sure that both of her parents gets an equal share of that love by walking back and forth between us. Then she always wants to follow K to the bathroom. What they do in there will remain private ūüėČ but sometimes I hear them talk to each other in there which always cracks me up. She will continue to keep K company until he goes to work. As soon as he leaves, she goes back to bed and stays there with me until I get up. The picture below is from this morning when she had fallen back to sleep next to me.

Today was just one of those days ūüė¶

Mommy didn’t notice me checking out the inside of the¬†refrigerator so she closed the door ON me! Then¬†I fell down the toilet and got wet. Then I got squeezed AGAIN when Daddy tried to shut another door. To top that off, I failed to catch that mosquito I’ve been eyeing the whole evening.

My leg got wet

I also think mommy got a little annoyed when I took over her homework assignment. I¬†couldn’t help it, it just looked so much FUNNN!! I eventually ended up with a time-out so Mommy could finish her stuff

A little more to the right..

Katniss has responded well on her medicine. However, it seems like the fever is still taking over sometimes. Poor little thing ūüė¶

She is back to gobbling down her food and running around the apartment wich is a very good sign.

I can highly recommend Blue Buffalo non-clumping pellets. The pellets are biodegradable and are walnut basted, which makes it one of the few litters that you can can actually flush down the toilet. Yaay! I know it is a bit pricier than most litters but it comes with so many advantages:

  1. It’s dust free. No need to worry about your little kitty inhaling the dust from the litter while scratching around the box.
  2. Extremely low tracking. You may find a couple of pellets outside the litter box every week but that’s about it.
  3. Biodegradable = environment friendly. Just imagine how much litter you sent to the land fills during the life span of your cat.
  4. Good odor control
  5. Does not stain your cat’s paws which the Blue Buffalo clumping litters is said to do.

The only issue is the price and that it’s hard to clean up areas where the cat has done it’s #1. Because of it’s¬†biodegradable ability, the pellets falls apart in contact with fluids.¬†Luckily, we found Purina’s Breeze Litter System which solved both of our problems. It is the ideal system for people that prefer pellets. Small openings at the bottom leads the fluid down to a¬†separate¬†tray so it¬†doesn’t get absorbed by the pellets.¬†The urine is quickly absorbed by an odor-controlling pad in the tray. Now the litter box demands very low maintenance and the litter does not need to be changed every week anymore.

Note: I can ONLY recommend the Blue Buffalo pellets. I tossed the included Purina pellets in the trash!

We give this combination 5 paws up
